A dread falls upon me when they say I need to "settle" or "go back" or "confirm". Why is that? It's coz I have been the best outside of the system. I operate the best when I am not conventionally held up in that system. It makes me feel suffocated. It's like a well meaning, mundane, prison-like state. I have always liked myself when I am not confirming. My brain works better, my insight works better and it is like I upgrade at a faster speed.
I do not want to confirm.
It's an interesting feeling - with all that conditioning, all those years of learning I feel so suffocated when I follow the rules. Everyone seems to be happy following it.
So when a friend yesterday described the set way of doing something I had mentioned to her, I felt anxious. A very unsettling feeling dawned on me. I was probing it today morning and I know the reason now. I hate doing it the way it is traditionally done. Why can't we be more creative and out of the box with it? Why does it have to be what every one does?
There are no rules. Who set them up?
