The world has become desensitized - every form of pain, sorrow and suffering has been normalized. How can the insensitive even understand this?

Where are my people at?

I'd like to reach out and talk to people at a level that I can see they are at - however, my approaching them changes the whole dynamic and spoils the taste. 

Insensitive

I have not been able to process of insensitivity meted out to a person I knew by his own "people" to date. I saw people turn; fans and followers change - to an extent that it gave a spotlight to the loneliness. 

Sensitive people are collecting enough data about the world and then they tend to crash. I say, be sensitive and develop a thick skin. Do not forget - so that you can ignore completely. 

Reflection

 

Art does imitate life.

When the whole universe conspires to bring your life together and halt at a moment - idea, people, story, music, production & release - you should give some credit to the original script writer. I mean, how often can you catch someone's attention like this? One can do nothing but sit up and notice and marvel at the coincidences. How often do we see ourselves being played out on the theater screen?

Belief gets reinforced in those moments. So many of them.

Re-watched Charulata and reading about it led me to Ibsen's The Doll House. Another movie by Ray on similar lines is Ghare Baire. They made me think.

Darcy vs Rhett

Something funny happened. This conversation around Darcy vs Rhett unexpectedly reached the same conclusion in my head at the same time my friend stated it in words. Even though I had never given it a serious thought in my life, I was floored by the realization. And her maturity.

And I understood myself in that brief minute.
