"This miracle of me is mine to own and keep, and mine to guard, and mine to use, and mine to kneel before...The fortune of my spirit is not to be blown into coins of brass and flung to the winds as alms for the poor of spirit." -- Ayn Rand

My obsession with Europe. Does not always start and end with France, Italy and Spain. It spans the width and length of western and not so western Europe. It goes eastward to become a full fledged romance with Russia, to me it shall always be the USSR. Southern mediterranean bliss and historical northern land of the Angles. It always seems prettier in my head than any where else. And today is one of those days when it has flooded my essence with it's presence - so strong that I ache.
Church Overlooking Sea, Santorini, Cyclades, Greek Islands, Greece
I was that passionate sun that raced to be all around the world at the same time. In my imagination it was a limitless journey to the wonderland one has heard about. How else we would meet if we ever had to meet in a new place, new time and a new memory. In my dreams it still comes back and I know I have to do this.
The colorful calmness of all this wrings the passion out of me. I like the serene scheme of things and the whiteness that surrounds it still. There lies a mystery in all this, which if known, will not be that fascinating.

Delhi and Dobara - Peppered with Expletives !
Liked Delhi Belly - could have done wonders if only the expletives were not so liberally hashed into an otherwise wonderful script. But I can still say that I liked it enough. And liked the end scene of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara - it beautifully captured what it was supposed to.
I love Abhay Deol and definitely like Farhan Akhtar.

My child who is not yet four months old
Gives me this little grandma look
Her eyes filled with knowing smiles
Fill me with this wonderful delight
If only she knew how to speak
She would really laugh aloud and speak
For she gets all the inside jokes
And let's her naughty eyes roll
She tries to do all that grown ups do
Makes us forget that she is not so old
I wish she would just stay like this
For us to have fun till eternity
But I also want her to grow to be my friend
For she indeed is our friend
A song, sweetest of them all
That nature wrote and sang to us.

They say when you die you fly so high
It makes you forget your petty life
You wonder how it all was till now
A little surprised and saddened somehow
Was that really me or someone else
But I seem to be recalling the rest
What did I get, what did I learn
Was I too occupied to remember this test?
My life that I said was mine from rest
Could have been at anybody's behest
Did I learn what I had to learn
Or could I have had better done
I am sure that I would not feel so bad
Once I realized or was made to understand
It was fine my dear however it was
If it wasn't for it, you would not have come so far
You did just great, you did your best
And now you can leave all the rest
Come to me and have what you will
Did not you wait so long for this?
It makes you forget your petty life
You wonder how it all was till now
A little surprised and saddened somehow
Was that really me or someone else
But I seem to be recalling the rest
What did I get, what did I learn

I have this little secret to tell
It's been told forever and told again
It's true what they say of me
I am nothing but what you see of me.
And that depends on how you see things too
For you may say two plus two is two
Then when you get your arithmetic right
You may see me in another light
So then how is it that we all are right
We all seem little people so bright
The secret lies in the start of it all
A start no one seems to recall
And so the story goes for you
It was told to me and told to you
When it was decided that right is right
They forgot to decide what wasn't right
And that has led us all to believe
That what we know is reality
And it makes us all very naive
Coz it is indeed a triviality
It's been told forever and told again
It's true what they say of me
I am nothing but what you see of me.
And that depends on how you see things too

They forgot to decide what wasn't right
And that has led us all to believe
That what we know is reality
And it makes us all very naive
Coz it is indeed a triviality
A life besotted to it's fall
Hurting no one, and loving all
It's only in one's memory now
Strange that not one could see it at all.
Incapable of hues so bright and bold
We did only what we were told
We left the flower to wait for sun
When we could have at least tried to sun
Who could reach that soaring mind
A dauntless bird with pretty eyes
How high it was and so lonely too
We thought we knew but never knew
I think it was a relief indeed
Cause at least it can now rest a bit
Far from prying eyes that judge
In higher company, so sought within
Be happy and safe, my little one
You need this break and I know this now
Wherever you are you are singing still
To higher life, to deeper feel
Oh man! So I finally saw both the versions of Kill Bill completely. And I had not expected the story to be as it turned out to be. But then, it would not have made any sense any other way.
Only a lot of love can generate a lot of hate. Loving, Hating and Knowing.
Bill: "...and I over-reacted."
Kiddo: (Long perplexed pause) "You over-reacted! Is that your explanation???????"
Bill: I didn't say I was going to explain myself. I said I was going to tell you the truth. But if that's too cryptic, let's get literal. I'm a killer. A murdering bastard, you know that. And there are consequences to breaking the heart of a murdering bastard. You experienced some of them.

I wish the best for twitter for unlike other social networks I can see only usefulness in it. The collective brain of the human race. The snap shot of what the world thinks of anything at any given point of time. The times we live in and the level at which we are. Not to forget, instant broadcasting and mass communication.
And for sure it is here to stay.
And for sure it is here to stay.
Is there anybody out there?
Catharsis is a need of being human. We need people we can relate to. Only to understand ourselves better. It gives that feeling of not being alone out there in the wide, wide world. Most of the time, it brings people together as much as it separates their ways.

Milkshake
When they were walking along the Danube, they met this guy who asked money for a poem - a poem that will have a word of their choice.
And he impressed me the same way he impressed them. In fact more. I started to wonder what could be his story. A frail young man, with clothes hanging from his body, smoking a light as he pours his head in his book. He scribbled and as he looked up his face had that bliss - he could have been high but he looked perfectly at peace with himself. He was happy that he had pleased them and got his reward.
Jesse pointed out - how do you know? He may have had the poem and he plugged in the word of our choice. But the look on her face made him drop the subject all together. She did not think so.
I, like her, would like to believe otherwise. For then, he could not have been SO high.
