Bahía Blanca

Now this name, I have heard after almost 15-16 years. Had read it last during Geography lessons in school. Continent was South America and country was Argentina. The word sounded so much 'mine'. :)

Bahía Blanca means "White Bay". The name is due to the typical colour of the salt covering the soils surrounding the shores. The bay (which is actually an estuary) was seen by Ferdinand Magellan during the first circumnavigation around the world on the orders ofCharles I of Spain, in 1520, looking for a canal connecting the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean all along the coasts of South America.

Suhail

Suhail actually is the name of a star - Canopus now. I got to know this today reading Baburnama. to imagine that this word has more depth / meaning than I actually thought. The book said that this was one of the prominent stars in Afganistan.
